Keep Winter Cool Ambassador

Five times Aerial World Cup Champion and 2007/08 Snowsports Athlete of the Year, Jacqui Cooper, has agreed to be a Keep Winter Cool ambassador. To support the Keep Winter Cool initiative Jacqui is encouraging all alpine region visitors to help tackle climate change by committing to reduce the amount of energy they use.

She is urging everyone to undertake three simple actions on-mountain and at home:

• Set your heater between 18 and 20 degrees
• Take a maximum four minute shower
• Turn appliances off at the power point

If everyone follows these three simple actions we will prevent thousands of tons of greenhouse gas from being released into the atmosphere. As Jacqui says, "The science is complex. The actions are simple. If we all do our bit we can make a difference."
